As Lockdown Restarts, More People Are Flocking To Luxury Loungewear.
With a second lockdown beginning in the UK and across much of Europe, many people are looking to luxury loungewear to be their stay-at-home saviour.
Lyst; the definitive fashion shopping app, have reported that there is an increase in global demand for luxury loungewear. This week alone, searches for the category including “cashmere” and “wool” had increased 47% while page views for “cashmere lounge pants” grew 28% week-on-week.
The factors of a loosening of dress codes as well as many now working from home have enabled this trend to launch into the mainstream.
A category once reserved to specific loungewear brands such as Sleepy Jones or Derek Rose has become much more commonplace in the fashion market. Luxury brands like Fendi and Versace have begun to market their own versions of luxury loungewear, from traditional pyjamas sets to cashmere bottoms.
What do you guys think? Are you all adorned in luxury cosy fabrics this lockdown or sticking with tried and tested tracksuits?
