Alber Elbaz Is Back With AZ Factory.

After entering in a partnership with Richemont over a year ago, the ex-Lanvin Creative Director has finally announced his new label; AZ Factory. In their inaugural statement, they stated “we design beautiful solutions-driven fashion that works for everyone. It is a reset.”

Some may not be aware of Elbaz, but they will know his signature designs at Lanvin. Elbaz changed the face of Lanvin as creative director, where he held the position from 2001 to 2015. After a controversial dismissal, Elbaz shed the limelight and only worked on small projects such as his work with Converse and LeSportsac as well as designing all of the costumes for Natalie Portman in the 2016 film “A Tale of Love and Darkness“.

In an interview with Vogue, Elbaz spoke about his new label. He says he enjoys the idea of working as a startup, stating that “For the first time I want to give birth to a new story and not to recreate or replace someone else.”

Elbaz has announced his plans to debut the brand in late January.

Are you excited to see Alber Elbaz back?
