adidas Spezial Fall/Winter 2023 is here, following on from collaborations with Liam Gallagher and Blondey McCoy with a collection that’s fronted by the footballing legend, Roy Keane.

Gary Aspden’s adidas Spezial division is intrinsically connected to casuals and terrace culture, so featuring Keane as the campaign star is the perfect marriage. For Fall/Winter 2023, adidas Spezial dials up the autumnal vibes with a video that sees Keane take his loyal pet dog, Jet, on a lakeside walk.

Of course, throughout the video, we see Keane wearing the latest-and-greatest designs by Aspden. On top comes a Haslingden Jacket, Moorfield Anorak, Topfield liner, and other layering essentials, while on the bottom we find technical-leaning, gorpy-boi pants tinged with the mod-ish Spezial brush.

However, it’s the footwear that steals the show for Fall/Winter 2023. adidas Spezial presents seven new and reimagined styles, including: the Moscrop 2 SPZL, a revised take on 2022’s Moscrop SPZ, now coming with techy elements like dye cut EVA tooling; the adi-Tex membrane-protected Hiaven SPZL; and of course, the Samba Deco SPZL. Everybody’s favourite shoe of late now comes with a Spezial treatment, coming in either “Black/Green” in homage to ’80s football undertones, or “Brown/White,” per Samba traditions of the 1970s.

Elsewhere, adidas Spezial presents the outdoor-leaning leisure Inverness SPZL staple; the Englewood SPZL which blends elements of the Campus 80 (notably its tooling) with touches of the Galaxy II high top boot; and the Lawkholme SPZL, which is a deconstructed ’80s running shoe at its core.

The adidas Spezial Fall/Winter 2023 collection will be available from November 16 via the adidas Confirmed app and select retailers in limited quantities.
