It’s CULTED with your 60-second FASHION BLAST.
With the fashion industry having a seriously damaging impact on the planet, brands need to actively be doing more for sustainability. One brand that’s leading the way in the fight against climate change is Adidas.
Adidas started a partnership with sustainability innovator Parley in 2015 with 3 main aims: to avoid the use of plastics where possible and recover plastic waste from the environment, as well as inventing new sustainable alternatives.
But what is Parley?
Well, Parley is an organisation which partners with global corps to develop projects aimed at preventing the destruction of the oceans and putting an end to plastic pollution.
Adidas has long had a similar ethos, partnering with innovative start-ups, and cutting-edge organisations to fight against the global plastic crisis. For the last 5 years, Adidas has been phasing out virgin polyester from its products, aiming for 50% of the polyester used to be from recycled material by the end of this year. The eventual goal is to eliminate virgin polyester in Adidas products altogether by 2024.
So guys which other brands do you want to see follow Adidas and Parley’s sustainability lead?
