It’s CULTED with your 60 second NEWS BLAST.
If you have missed rummaging through the rails of a vintage shop since the lockdown, CULTED is here to give you your e-vintage shop fix with 4 of our favourite UK-based Black-owned Depop stores.
First up is Mia Joseph with her shop Myaemade. She creates colourful one-off pieces using overlocked raw stitching, with materials such as mesh and jersey. Her co-ords are even a favourite with Jorja Smith and Maya Jama.
Second we have comcwithmissjason. They’re emptying their closet to sell and donate 100% of sales to the UKQTIBIPOC Hardship fund, a grassroots organisation providing practical support to queer, trans & intersex People Of Colour.
Next, we have Youth Club Store, the shop bubbling with vintage fleeces and shirts from your Grandad’s old fishing jumper to a 90’s Nike hoodie, guaranteeing a unique print with each piece.
Finally it’s the shop Velvetxcole. Styled against a marble print background their vintage pieces pop from a leopard print slip dress to a yellow tartan skirt. With their colour coordinated grid, finding a vintage treasure has never been easier.
